Bulgaria's debut attempt in 2005 fell well short of a
final place, and a more widely supported effort in 2006 also
failed to give them their final debut. In 2007 they finally
got through and did very well. Like Belarus, their first
chance of a directly qualified finalist has been scuppered by
the 2008 changes.
