Armenia made their debut in 2006. Their website proclaimed "Armenians in
the Diaspora! Stay with Public TV of Armenia on May 18th and
vote for Andre! Nothing is possible without your love!".
The ex-pats responded and gave Armenia a quite ridiculous
top-eight finish ahead of many superior songs, a pattern and
result that
was duplicated the very next year, illustrating
everything that is wrong with Eurovision in the new millennium.
